It takes a special kind of confidence to pick a fight with a UFC fighter, but that's exactly what Machine Gun Kelly did last night at the MTV VMAs, as he got into a red carpet scuffle with Conor McGregor.
According to people who were there [via TMZ], McGregor approached MGK to greet him. He was pushed away — either by security or by MGK himself, depending on whose account you believe — and the incident culminated in McGregor lunging at MGK. The pair's respective security teams got in between them and separated them.
McGregor has been recovering from a leg injury. He underwent surgery this summer and was walking with a cane on the red carpet.
Both MGK and McGregor then both took part in the show: Machine Gun Kelly performed "Papercuts" with Travis Barker, while McGregor presented the Artist of the Year award.
