They don't sing pop songs like the Inbreds and lack the jazz tendencies of NoMeansNo, circa 1980, but for a duo consisting of only bass and drums, they sure can make a lot of noise. The debut EP from this Trenton, ON-based combo is equal parts screaming death metal, experimental minimalist noise and arty math-core. Perfectly complimenting the scrappy music and vocal outbursts are the harsh and tortured lyrics. The production is raw almost a little too raw, at times. Then again, nobody ever said art had to be perfect. The distinct lack of polish and handmade cover art (which features a spray painted piece of sheet metal) adds to the overall impact of this release.
