Mötley Crüe's Tommy Lee Says He Plays Drums on Post Malone's New Track "Tommy Lee"

You can watch a video for the Tyla Yaweh-led song now

Post Malone is once again doing a rock'n'roll crossover, and this time the rapper is getting none other than Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee for a track actually called "Tommy Lee." The song actually has Tyla Yaweh getting top billing, with Post guesting, but it's out now.

Tyla Yaweh and Post Malone shared their "Tommy Lee" single today, with the pair even giving the track its own video. And while Tommy Lee doesn't actually appear in the clip, he apparently plays on the song itself.

Earlier this week, Lee spoke about the track in an interview with SiriusXM, with the notorious rocker saying: "I'm playing drums on this Post Malone song that's coming up — and if you can believe it, the song is called 'Tommy Lee.'"

Not stopping there, Lee added: "It's killer. It's basically about living that rock star life that people in hip-hop always seem to talk about.... The track is recorded and has some demo drums on it, but I'm going to smash over those."

Adding a big layer of confusing to this all, though, is that it sure doesn't sound like Tommy Lee is on the version of the song that's been released. Plus, the press release for the track makes zero mention of the drummer actually appearing on the song.

So perhaps there is a remix coming out that will feature Lee — or maybe Post and Tyla ditched Lee's drumwork in the final editing phase. We're not realjy sure.

You can check out "Tommy Lee" below, where you can also find Tommy Lee's interview with SiriusXM.

"Tommy Lee" is set to appear on Tyla Yaweh's upcoming album RAGER BØY, which will arrive via London Entertainment/Epic Records.

"Tommy Lee" marks the latest move by Post Malone to enter the rock world, coming in the wake of a recent Nirvana tribute and a song with Ozzy Osbourne.
