Both remarkable artists in their own right, Vancouver's Loscil (aka Scott Morgan) and Seattle's the Sight Below (aka Rafael Anton Irisarri) have teamed up to compile a selection of ambient works from their peers.
The release is the second edition in the Air Texture series, an annual compilation organized by Escape Art's James Healy. For the double-disc Air Texture Volume II, each artist was chosen to compile tracks on their own disc.
The cast of musicians is a who's who of current ambient masters, including Brian McBride of Stars of the Lid, Marcus Fischer, Chris Herbert, Pan American, Library Tapes, Benoît Pioulard, Eluvium, Kyle Bobby Dunn and Slowdive's Simon Scott, among others. Both Loscil and Irisarri also appear on the compilation.
Air Texture Volume II will be released on July 2 via Air Texture. The tracklisting is available below.
