Joining the likes of Plot to Blow up the Eiffel Tower, this trio of Louisville sluggers are quickly becoming one of the leaders of the new school of dissonant art-core. With a squealing freestyle bombast that recalls the Jesus Lizard in their prime and a vocal shredding of the Blood Brothers all wrapped up in an old school hardcore punk aesthetic, Lords' second full-length is a frenzied collision of sound and fury. Sure there's a certain sameness to the songs here, but they are all kept short enough that they don't become boring or repetitive.
