Lorde helped close out the first weekend of Coachella last night (April 16), and if you were watching the livestream, you may have caught Lorde delivering a few bars of an unlikely tune.
Before launching into her recent single "Liability," the New Zealand pop star sang a couple lines from Kanye West's "Runaway." It's a bit of a surprising move given Lorde's well-documented VIP membership in Taylor Swift's squad — and in case you've been living under a rock, Swift and Yeezy aren't on great terms — but it was a treat for those in attendance at the festival, nevertheless.
Check out a brief snippet of Lorde's ode to West below, as well as fan footage from her ensuing performance of "Liability." That track, of course, will appear on her new album Melodrama, which is out June 16. Pre-order the album via Umusic here.
