Utilising the old faithful "hard/soft, start/stop, loud/quiet" screamo formula that has been employed with great success by bands like Grade, Thursday and Boy Sets Fire, this new New Jersey quintet also take things to extremes. On the quiet side they sound like Juliana Theory or Sense Field, and on the loud side they evoke Norwegian death metal. And somewhere in between they find time for some mathematical Mr. Bungle-like breakdowns. An interesting cross-pollination of disparate genres that actually works really well, most of the time.
