"Every disaster has a beautiful start" — that's a hell of an emotionally charged opening line affixed to Little Scream's "The Kissing," the latest preview from her Cult Following.
The song starts off stark, with a ragged chop of guitar supporting Laurel Sprengelmeyer's vocals. It goes on to add layers of guitar fuzz and percussion as she sings about feeling like jerk for leaving a loved one in the lurch.
"It's time to stop doing some things in the rain," it's sung, "especially the kissing."
You can hear Little Scream's latest heart-crusher, which features guest vocals from TV on the Radio's Kyp Malone, down below, while Cult Following hits stores May 6 through Dine Alone/Merge.
