Dement3d quickly stole the spotlight in 2012 thanks to a couple of meaty back-to-back EPs by the anonymous faction Polar Inertia. There has been no shortage of outspoken admiration for their gritty, sonically pleasing techno. The Paris-based label has since seen figures like Lucy, Silent Servant and Abdulla Rashim support the project's dance-floor efforts, while faces like DSCRD have been providing growth in its experimental sector. Dement3d's latest aims to please both sides with a debut from countrymen Ligovskoi.

On their ambient and drone project, the duo present four focused soundscapes that provide context for an equal number of remixes, introducing various rhythmic interpretations. Ligovskoi's beatless originals are vivid, icy and bright, leaving the door comfortably open for the meditative styles of Abdulla Rashim, In Aeternam Vale and HBTVSK. Label co-founder Francois X delivers the hardest-hitting mix on the release fit for the darkest of basements, or clearest of night skies.
