Lightning Dust Ready Sophomore Album For August

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Apr 6, 2009

As we reported last fall, Lightning Dust have been busy recording their second full-length, which we're now pleased to announce is in the bag and heading our way.

Via a MySpace blog post, the pair of Black Mountaineers gave the heads-up that the new record is finished and will be released by Jagjaguwar in August. It still doesn't have a title or tracklisting, but we do know it was recorded at Vancouver's URSA studio and mixed in Dallas by John Congleton (Black Mountain, the Polyphonic Spree).

If you want to check out what may be in store with the new Lightning Dust record, there's a demo for the track "Antonia Jane" up and streaming on the band's MySpace page.
