Waterloo math rock mainstays Life in Vacuum have been at it for close to ten years now, and have now formally revealed that another terse trio of crushers comes our way next month. A new EP lands August 7 through New Damage Records, and the band are previewing its "Black Snow" with a scorching performance video.
Quite simply, the video finds the act mangling their instruments from a loft setting. As you'll see down below, a lot of sweat is flying around as they bash skins and unfurl unruly, post-hardcore riffs akin to Refused or Greys.
As for the EP as a whole, the band issued a quick statement noting that it "was inspired by recent events in Ukraine that displaced thousands of people and fuelled ongoing, long term hatred between several neighbouring nations."
Life in Vacuum:
1. Let Us Through
2. Black Snow
3. New Blood
