Leeroy Stagger Preps 'Radiant Land' LP, Canadian Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Apr 26, 2012

Canadian roots rock figure Leeroy Stagger has been hitting it hard since issuing his 2004 debut Dear Love, and the singer-songwriter will keep up his prolific pacing this spring when he issues is seventh full-length affair, Radiant Land, on May 15 through Gold Lake/Universal Music.

A press release explains that the set was recorded at Nashville's Club Roar studios during a three-day break in Stagger's U.S. tour schedule. While the tone of the record is said to reflect the human condition, the title track apparently paints a political picture, targeting his home province of Alberta's push towards nuclear energy. You can check out an acoustic performance of the song down below.

Stagger and his backup band will get back to life on the road early next month for a month-long trip around Canada, which runs from the Prairies out to the Maritimes. You can see the detailed schedule down below.
