Love and deception are just a few of the themes explored in a new trilogy of short films from Lee Harvey Osmond, which come under the collective title Where the Dirt Ends the Love Begins… The first instalment is supporting the outfit's Beautiful Scars track, "Loser Without Your Love," and can be seen online now.
A press release explains that Lee Harvey Osmond leader Tom Wilson has teamed up with filmmaker Jeth Weinrich for the trilogy, which is set in Mexico and presented as "a series of dreams about the day to day to dust journey of love."
This first chapter kicks off with an up-close-and-personal interview with a young woman about heartbreak and second chances, and proceeds to take a slow-mo look at various local personalities dancing in bars, strolling through streets, and relaxing at home. This is scored by the breezy, somewhat sleazy sounds of "Loser Without Your Love."
To quote Wilson, "Do you want to know about this mess?" If so, You can give the short film a peep down below.
