Leaving Thomas are a contemporary country-pop duo from Calgary; Annika Odegard and Bryton Udy are dropping the self-titled EP they first teased in 2016 with the emotionally charged "Waiting Kind of Girl." These best friends share a chorus on "Heart In Me," a sweet treasure. "Best Adventure" plays with a pop melody, while "Call It A Night" shares the lively sentiment. An uplifting chorus illuminates disheartened lyrics on "Shame On Me."

"If This is Love" is a piano-based ballad, that carries a saddened spirit while also giving a nod to the duet "What Ifs" by Kane Brown featuring Lauren Alaina. An exceptional twist on a common theme, Udy and Odegard's vocals on the final chorus are interwoven gracefully. Odegard sings spectacularly, with tremendous presence, on "Blame It on the Neon."

Although at times Udy's vocals seem hidden, Leaving Thomas's self-titled EP is well worth the wait.
