Låpsley is the latest British-born electro-soul minimalist to be signed to XL Recordings, and following her Understudy EP from earlier this month, she has now rolled out a video for the single "Brownlow."
The clip was directed by Låpsley herself along with Cherise Payne. It takes viewers on a nocturnal trip that includes a quiet car ride, an underground dance party and some drunken hangs with friends. The party scenes look like fun, but the atmospheric, contemplative track suggests a sense of detachment from the proceedings.
