After premiering the audio earlier in the summer, Låpsley has offered up some glittery, club-set visuals for DJ Koze's disco remix of her "Operator (He Doesn't Call Me)."
The video was shot in Berlin by Cherise Payne and follows the backstage prep routine of a drag performer putting on their makeup and getup, all while singing Låpsley's song. From there, the fab faux-Låpsley knocks the song out of the stratosphere from the club's stage. Out in the crowd and ready for a one-on-one dance is Låpsley.
"The video Is inspired by an amazing night after my first ever Berlin show, when a group of friends took me out and introduced me to the city's drag scene," the singer explained in a statement. "That night's stayed with me ever since and I wanted to pay homage and say thank you — this video's as much for that scene as it is for me. Berlin's also the city that first embraced Koze's brilliant 'Operator' edit so I wanted to return there to make the video, and try and create something that feels really timeless."
