Savannah, GA metal mainstays Kylesa's journey moves forward next month with the release of Ultraviolet, but there's a bit of throwback flavour to the next sneak peek from the set, "We're Taking This."

While the band have steadily moved toward a more alt-rock-influenced sound the last few records, "We're Taking This" kicks off with a Time Will Fuse Its Worth-styled crush groove driven by chunky, detuned riffs, earth's crust-cracking drum work and Laura Pleasants vicious bellows. That said, the band get back to experimentin' right quick with a mildly ambient passage of new age synths and shouts, making for another interesting offering from the crew.

You can check out Kylesa's latest tune in the slideshow video of band and scenery shots down below.

As previously reported, Ultraviolet hits retailers May 28 through Season of Mist and will be supported with a North American tour that has Kylesa hitting Vancouver, Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. You can check out the show details here.
