Ever-experimental Savannah, GA squad Kylesa have offered up another spacey taste of their forthcoming Exhausting Fire LP. This time you can check out the mix of sludgey tones and stoner riffery that surges though the band's "Shaping the Southern Sky."
Guitarist Laura Pleasants takes the mic on this one, using a misty, melodious voice above the distortion-dialling sonics to sing about throwing "caution to the wind." Though fist-pumping for many portions of the arrangement, there's an almost druid-like chant filling the low-rolling but ultimately eerie mid-section.
Bang your head, sing along, or just sit in a stunned stupor as you give the song a spin down below.
As previously reported, Exhausting Fire arrives October 2 via Season of Mist. Kylesa will be out on the road ahead of the street date, though. You'll find their North American tour schedule down below.
