After promising her album would drop by the end of 2011, pint-sized Bay Area rapper Kreayshawn has finally set the release date for her long-awaited debut full-length.
The record, which is called Something 'Bout Kreay, will be released on August 14 via Columbia Records. A press release informs us that the record will include everything from pop and '80s rap to sissy bounce and juke.
UPDATE: The album has now been pushed back to September 18.
"I feel so accomplished, having finished my album," Kreayshawn said in a statement. "I got to travel the world, perform for crowds of tens of thousands, be on covers of magazines all over the world, and finish a whole album in less than a year... I just want everyone to be ready for a mystical musical journey through genre and sound. There's just somethin 'bout Kreay."
The album's first single is "Breakfast," a barely hidden ode to sipping cough syrup assisted by 2 Chainz. The track has a new music video, which was directed by Kreayshawn herself, that can be viewed below.
