Grimes, Lil Uzi Vert and Kreayshawn Want to Get Elon Musk's Brain Chip

"It's experimental surgery but if it succeeds we'll have the knowledge of the Gods haha"

Lil Uzi Vert seemingly isn't satisfied with just one cranial implant, as the rapper has started publicly discussing his desire to get Elon Musk's "brain chip" implant Neuralink embedded in his skull with X ร† A-12's mom and experimental surgery fan, Grimes.

The two musicians, who appear to be in the midst of a serious collaboration, exchanged tweets about the new technology over the weekend. Conversations began Saturday (February 6) when Uzi tweeted out "NEURALINK," referring to Musk's futuristic technological development that would hypothetically see users implanting wires in their skulls in order to listen to music and control video games using their minds.

"Let's get brain chips," Grimes wrote in response to Uzi's tweet. "It's experimental surgery but if it succeeds we'll have the knowledge of the Gods haha."

Later, Kreayshawn joined the party and asked, "Can I get one too?" Grimes quickly responded, "Yes haha."

The artists' excitement over the tech follows a Clubhouse Q&A with Musk that took place last week, in which he announced that his company had successfully implanted a Neuralink unit in a monkey's head.

"We've already got like a monkey with a wireless implant in their skull and the tiny wires, who can play video games using his mind. And he looks totally happy. He does not look like an unhappy monkey," Musk said in the chat.

While the tech has yet to be approved for human trials, Grimes and Uzi are hopeful to get their cyborg body mods by sometime next year.

"Let's aim for chips by 2022," Grimes told Uzi.
