Killing Joke were to kick off a North American tour in support their recent Pylon LP next week, but health issues have forced the English post-punk vets to pull the plug on the trip.
The band took to their Facebook page this week to explain the cancellation, citing the reason as an unspecified ailment affecting one of their members. The health issue has apparently come as a surprise to Killing Joke, who have asked for "time to work this out." They hope to get back on the road, but it's as yet unclear when that could happen.

Dear Gatherers and friends. It is with great sadness and regret that due to some health issues for one of the band we will not be able to embark on our 2016 U.S. Tour. This has come as a shock to us all, please give us the time to work this out and we hope to return to touring as soon as possible.
While Killing Joke are off the road for now, tour openers the Soft Moon have opted to tweak the show schedule a bit and forge ahead with a headlining trip of their own.
While some of the dates and venues have been swapped around, the Soft Moon are still due to play Vancouver's Venue on February 2. They'll be playing Toronto's Lee's Palace on February 11, and the next night at Montreal's La Sala Rosa.
The Soft Moon added over Facebook of their headlining shows: "If you purchased a ticket for the show with KJ, ask for a refund ASAP, and buy a ticket for our show (it's way cheaper)."
