Like Sweden's (International) Noise Conspiracy, the Kill Pill fuses charged rock'n'roll with politically and socially centred lyrics. Distinct from (I)NC, the Kill Pill's band members don't have cute matching haircuts and outfits. Weaving complex, boisterous songs, the band displays notable songwriting sophistication, creating a consistently electric EP. Despite its brevity, Outside These City Walls has enough expert impulsion to make Trotsky's ghost break into a fierce rock'n'roll strut.
