Khruangbin & Leon Bridges Unveil New EP 'Texas Moon,' Share "B-Side"

It follows their 2020 collaboration 'Texas Sun"

Khruangbin & Leon Bridges are taking us from day to night with new EP Texas Moon — due February 12 via Dead Oceans. Today, they've shared the project's lead single "B-Side" and a Philip Andelman-directed music video to match.

The five-song collection from the joined forces of soul artist Bridges and psych-funk band Khruangbin follows their previous collaboration, 2020's Texas Sun. As you might expect, they have a shared heritage in the Lone Star state.

"Without joy, there can be no real perspective on sorrow," the Houston trio philosophized in a statement. "Without sunlight, all this rain keeps things from growing. How can you have the sun without the moon?"

The irony-tinged lead track "B-Side" sees the different shades of modern Texan music coming together through the pairing, with a rollicking guitar groove and the Fort Worth singer floating a lighter approach to his signature croon. In the clip, they perform in their best denim and fringed regalia in front of an old Western saloon. Just Texas things.

Watch the video for "B-Side" below, where you'll also find the album tracklist.

Earlier this year, Bridges released his third full-length solo album Gold-Diggers Sound.
