Kelis wants us to gorge on her first Food single "Jerk Ribs," offering up yet another flavour variation of the song via a new remix from Brit producer Ben Pearce.
Like the previous revamp from Mount Kimbie, Pearce strips away the hot and spicy horn section to offer more club-geared rhythms. The track takes a de rigueur, early '90s house direction that likewise stamps out the swing of the original in favour of a slow-cooked arrangement of synths, a steady four-on-the-floor beats and mildly AutoTuned vocals.
It's a different kind of aural feast, and you can sample Pearce's remix down below.
As previously reported, Kelis's Food officially gets plated April 22 through Ninja Tune.
