Karkwa Map Out Cross-Canada Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jun 15, 2011

Last year, francophone rockers Karkwa caused a major stir when they snagged the 2010 Polaris Music Prize for their album Les Chemins De Verre. In the coming months, music fans across the country (and around the world) will have a chance to check out the award-winning group in the flesh, as they're getting set to embark upon an extensive tour.

In the next few weeks, Karkwa will play a trio of shows in Paris, plus a smattering of other dates in France and the UK. They will return to Quebec next month for a series of performances in their home province. After that, they will head west as far as Vancouver Island, playing shows along the way.

See the schedule below. It includes appearances with Arcade Fire and Blue Rodeo, although you will have to be on the other side of Atlantic to see those gigs.
