Kanye West's Yeezy Cleat Banned from NFL

While Kanye West' football field-ready Yeezy Cleats are officially on the market, you won't be seeing them anywhere but the bleachers at an NFL game this season. The league has banned West's latest Adidas shoe for not complying with its uniform policy.

The low-cut Yeezy 350 Cleat did end up being worn by Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins last Sunday (September 11) during his team's season opener against the Chicago Bears, but the on-field fashion statement led to some controversy.

The player has since revealed that he received a $6,000 USD fine for wearing the jazzy-patterned, ultra light cleats, because the "Turtle Dove" colourway doesn't offer a solid base colour, as per the NFL's uniform policy. As such, there'll be no more Yeezy Cleats for D.H.

When asked by if he'd ever consider wearing the Yeezy-branded footwear in a game, Hopkins told ESPN that he'd only do so if "Kanye wants to pay the fine."

Kanye West's Yeezy 350 Cleat officially went on-sale to the public yesterday (September 15), but is already sold out. Its release follows the recent, Yeezy Boost 350 'Infant' model your baby hopefully hasn't already grown out of.
