The last month has seen a flurry of activity from rap superstars Kanye West and Jay-Z. The duo finally revealed the release details for their hotly tipped Watch the Throne album, along with a North American tour, where they would perform together as a duo called the Throne. Now, the tour has been postponed.
Rescheduled dates are available below. As you can see, most of the dates were made up, including the Toronto and Vancouver shows. The bad news for Montreal fans, however, is that the show scheduled for September 25 hasn't been rescheduled, at least not yet.
No official reason was given for the postponement, but many believe it could be due to infighting between Kanye and Jay. The New York Post reports that the duo are feuding over production costs, with Kanye wanting a flashy live show that costs upwards of $400,000 per concert and Jay wanting to recoup his advance from Live Nation as soon as possible.
"Jay-Z can't deal with Kanye," an unnamed source told the tabloid. "Jay is a stone-cold businessman. He wants to recoup all of his money from Live Nation. But Kanye wants to upstage rock stars with a blowout show. He doesn't care about costs. He has a lot less to gain from the shows."
Here's hoping they can bury the hatchet before their rescheduled tour kicks off on October 29. Watch the Throne is set to drop on August 8 via Island Def Jam.
UPDATE: Kanye and Jay-Z have added a second Vancouver show on December 17.
