Just John's long-planned Renaissance Boy has yet to receive its official due date, but the Toronto rapper has revealed an anthem from the album. Dedicated to those facing struggle, it's called "Ignorant Youth (Black Noise)."
Described in a press release as "a rebel cry for marginalized youth to come together and take back our crowns," the track features boom-heavy production work from Lahghost and tremolo-utilizing guitar waviness from Freddy Kwon.
As for Just John, he reports on being lost in a system of "empty promises," and being in danger on the daily, as a black man. "They want to shoot me down when I'm making moves," he raps.
