BY Josiah HughesPublished Mar 3, 2009

Leading up to the release of her long-awaited new solo album I Can Wonder What You Did With Your Day, former Eric's Trip bassist Julie Doiron has announced a good-sized North American tour. Kicking off in Vancouver on March 13, the jaunt sees Doiron making U.S. appearances at SXSW and in New York, as well as a spree of Canadian shows in Ontario and Quebec.

In a recent interview with Chartattack, Doiron opened up about the more positive direction she has taking, saying, "I am actually happy... I guess I've grown up a bit and overall I'm much happier than I was for a long time. That's starting to come through in the music... It used to definitely be easier [to write depressing songs], but I don't have any reason right now to write sad songs... I just want to have fun making music and have fun doing shows, and I feel a lot better about where I am, performing live, and I kinda just want to have a good time."

Be sure to share in the good vibes when Jagjaguwar and Endearing release I Can Wonder What You Did With Your Day on March 24.
