Juggaknots The Love Deluxe Movement

This is a puzzling release from the mighty Juggaknots crew, from the album title and graphics lifted from A Tribe Called Quest’s bleak finale, to the tracks found within. This EP from Buddy Slim, Breezly and new member Herawin starts off with a confusing uppity dance anthem "She Loves Me Not,” which could be a little tongue-in-cheek and a humorous wink to grinding ditties, but just doesn’t sound very fresh for the underground vibes we’re used to from the Juggaknots. "Justalittlefake” is a quick track that steals Outkast’s "Ms. Jackson” for its beat and is a sign of things to come as "Lose Yourself” by Eminem and "Vivrant Thing” by Q-Tip are also nicked, giving Love Deluxe Movement a real mixtape feel that should stay below the radar unless the crew wants to get sued. The best track is easily Herawin flowing alongside Vinia Mojica on the fantastic "P Rushen,” but you can’t help but love Christina Aguilera being described as a "broken broomstick attached to a pom pom” in "Dreams 2002.” The Love Deluxe Movement shouldn’t really be taken too seriously and may just be a little project to keep the Juggaknots amused as their fans await a proper follow-up to Clear Blue Skies.
