Halifax instrumentalist Joshua Van Tassel recently confirmed the details of his latest album, Dream Date, which will arrive on March 26 through Backward Music. He has since mapped out some tour dates for the coming weeks.
The outing takes the form of a few mini-trips rather than an extended jaunt. On the weekend, Van Tassel will perform in Toronto on Sunday (February 24). He will then play a few Nova Scotia gigs next week, followed by Toronto and Montreal engagements in April.
The April 2 concert in Toronto will serve as an album release show for Dream Date and feature a handful of guest appearances, as Van Tassel will be joined by Justin Rutledge, Kate Rogers, Robbie Grunwald and Dean Drouillard.
As previously explained, Van Tassel envisioned Dream Date as a tour voyage through a dream world guided by a large primate. Watch a pair of teaser videos below the tour schedule.
