Joseph Gordon-Levitt wants to get into the music-making biz — well, further in than he already is.
In a recent interview with NME promoting his new Apple TV+ series Mr. Corman, the 500 Days of Summer actor and founder of collaborative creative platform HitRecord talked about his personal musical ambitions.
"HitRecord has put out a bunch of music, it's true, and I love making music with them," he said. "I've never put out an album [on my own] — the records we've put out on HitRecord are usually things I'm contributing to and offering feedback on a lot, but there are lots of people from all over the world making that music.
"I've always thought it would be fun to make an album of my own. I've still never done it. Maybe one day. It's also been a big fun part of Mr. Corman: we got to make a bunch of music and I'm really proud."
In 2009, Gordon-Levitt appeared on the bonus edition of the 500 Days of Summer soundtrack, performing a version of the Pixies 1989 single "Here Comes Your Man."
You can catch Gordon Levitt as Uber CEO and co-founder Travis Kalanick in Brian Koppelman and David Levien's upcoming Showtime anthology series, Super Pumped. The series has been in development since 2019.
