We're still waiting on an official announcement about the forthcoming Sigur Rós LP, but in the meantime, frontman Jónsi recently released a score for the Cameron Crowe-directed new film We Bought a Zoo. Now, Jónsi has unveiled a music video for the track "Gathering Stories."
The song is every bit as majestic as we've come to expect from the Icelandic stargazer, with angelic choirs and a woozy wash of reverb-soaked instruments. The accompanying animated clip is fittingly heady, as it takes viewers from a snowy forest to a mountain range, then from an underwater wilderness to a desert.
The soundtrack is available now through Columbia Records, while the film will arrive in cinemas tomorrow (December 23).
