Joni Mitchell has shared another tease of her latest archival release. She has unearthed a previously unheard two-minute piano demo called "Like Veils Said Lorraine."
The track was recorded in 1971 or 1972 at A&M Studios in Hollywood. It was inspired by "a piece of dialogue that happened with the real-estate woman who showed her properties in British Columbia," as Mitchell retold for her website.
The rest of Archives, Vol. 3: The Asylum Years (1972-1975) is set to arrive on October 6. Much of it will focus on unreleased material from the four-year period, including demos, early versions, alternate mixes, live performances and more.
