Newfoundland-bred/Ottawa-based multi-instrumentalist Jon Hynes has played a supporting role in bands include Hey Rossetta!, the Hidden Cameras, Evening Hymes and the Wooden Sky, but he earned a solid review from us for one of his solo performances earlier this year. Now, Hynes has rolled out a video for his song "Lay Down and Dry."
The song is a crunchy, electronic-tinged pop-rock number with catchy sunburst choruses, while the accompanying video was directed by Lesley Marshall. Hynes wrote on Facebook that the video is "full of pretty colours and moving silhouettes. What more could one human ask for?"
We could think of one or two things, but it's nevertheless an effective clip for an infectious song.
