Following the release of experimental composer and founding member of the Velvet Underground John Cale's 2011 EP Extra Playful, a handful of artists have teamed up for a special Record Store Day release. Paying tribute to Extra Playful, Actress, Maria Minerva and Alva Noto have contributed remixed tracks, while Tim Hecker and Leyland Kirby have delivered original Cale-inspired tunes for Extra Playful: Transitions.
The special release has been pressed on white twelve-inch vinyl, but if you don't manage to snag a copy on April 21, you can stream two of the new tracks below.
