Since releasing Scrappy Happiness this spring, East Coast troubadour Joel Plaskett has been promoting his latest album by gradually rolling out tour dates, booking festival appearances and helping out with Exclaim!'s 20th anniversary celebrations. This summer, Plaskett will keep staying busy, as he has a tour schedule that will keep him active for the remainder of the summer.
The itinerary is a little scattered, with Plaskett eschewing a full-blown Canadian tour in favour of a series of mini-outings and one-off gigs. Some of these shows are with his band the Joel Plaskett Emergency, while others feature stripped-down acoustic lineups as a duo or solo performer.
See the schedule below. As you'll notice, Plaskett will be sharing stages with Hannah Georgas, Great Lake Swimmers, Mo Kenney and Poor Young Things along the way. Head over to the songwriter's official website for more details about exactly which lineup will show up for each night, and how to buy tickets.
Meanwhile, Plaskett is in the final stages of a contest to select the best fan-made video for a song from Scrappy Happiness. Vote on your favourite submission here.
