While Joe Strummer rose to fame as the iconic frontman of the Clash, the musician also had a long and storied solo career. Now that solo work will be celebrated on a new collection.
The comp is called Assembly, and it's set to arrive on March 26 via Dark Horse Records. It will be made up of 16 tracks from across Strummer's solo career, including various hits, rarities and covers.
It also features three previously unreleased tracks that find Strummer taking on a the Clash's "I Fought the Law," "Rudie Can't Fail" and "Junco Partner," as well as songs he wrote with the Mescaleros. Plus, there's a cover of Bob Marley's classic "Redemption Song."
