You can't keep a good punk rocker down, not even when they start picking up acoustic guitars. D.O.A. leader Joe Keithley wears his new folkie duds rather well, still full of the bile and bite that fuelled his best activist songwriting. His new material will still scare off goin'-to-the-country folkies, no matter what kind of amplification he uses. "The Bible Is Crap" is a rousing sing-along for the whole schoolyard, while local historical anecdotes like "Ginger Goodwin" and "Made In B.C." do what the best political Ochs-folk should: hit you in the gut and be more subversive than screaming at the top of your lungs.
