Jody Glenham spent last December recording songs for an upcoming EP at Los Angeles' Red Rockets Glare studio, but the Vancouver singer-songwriter also managed to sneak away from the sessions for a day trip to Venice Beach to film a video for new tune "Gypsy Babe."
Set to Glenham's mellow, vitamin D-enriched melodies, the vid finds the artist soaking in the sun down by the boardwalk while nearby surfers wade through the Pacific Ocean and a seagull gets hammered by the incoming sudsy tide. The breezy pop track is available now on iTunes, and will also be on a 7-inch this summer and the forthcoming EP in the fall.
