The Muppets hits theatres on November 23, and from what we've heard so far, the soundtrack is going to be every bit as happy and lovable as the Muppets themselves. You can now listen to Joanna Newsom's new rendition of "The Muppet Show Theme," though puppet icons Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog seem to be a bit more prominent on the track than the harp-playing pixie herself.
As an added bonus, "Life's a Happy Song" from the film is also available online now, written by Flight of the Conchords' Bret McKenzie and featuring guest appearances by Feist, Mickey Rooney, Jason Segel, Amy Adams and the newest addition to the Muppet family, Walter.
You can listen to Newsom's "The Muppet Show Theme" here via Stereogum and check out "Life's a Happy Song" below.
The Muppets Original Soundtrack is due out on November 21 via Disney.
