Sun Kil Moon and Jesu have announced a logically titled collaborative album called Jesu/Sun Kil Moon, and even though we've still got a number of months to go until its February 19 release on Caldo Verde Records, they're now shared a cut called "America's Most Wanted Mark Kozelek and John Dillinger."
The track begins with buzzing, abstract synths before it eases into a chiming groove as Sun Kil Moon leader Mark Kozelek employs his signature train-of-though sing-speak to deliver rambling lyrics that reference classic artists like Sonic Youth, Bob Marley and, uh, Tenacious D. There are also a couple of ambient passages, including a spoken-word outro.
