Toronto's High Park will play host to a bunch of new arts programming from Canadian Stage this summer, including three intimate shows from 2018 Polaris Music Prize-winning artist Jeremy Dutcher in early September.

Pending Ontario's COVID lockdown measures, the musician will take to the High Park Amphitheatre stage for three in-person shows on September 6, 7 and 8 at 8 p.m. ET as part of the outdoor venue's "Dream in High Park" festivities.

"Torontonians are living through an incredibly long and challenging period of isolation. Many are deeply yearning for art and for opportunities to safely connect and share space with community," Canadian Stage executive director Monica Esteves said of the season's programming in a release. "When the time is right, Canadian Stage will be ready to provide these opportunities…with optimism for a June launch."

The Canadian Stage programming is "designed with the safety and comfort of patrons, artists, and staff as the top priority," and will allow attendees to book socially distanced "pods" for one to four members of a household. The amphitheatre, which can usually host up to 1,000 guests, will be limited to 100 attendees in keeping with gathering safety protocols.

Canadian Stage's "diverse menu" of attractions also includes comedy, theatre, dance and other arts-centred events. Performances are tentatively scheduled to run from June 29 through to September 25.
