Polaris Music Prize-winning composer Jeremy Dutcher will appear on the new album from celebrated cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Notes for the Future is out September 10 through Sony Classical.

Dutcher shared a photo with Ma on Instagram, writing, "This collaboration changed my life and I'm so grateful to him for sharing his platform and allowing so many more people to hear our songs + languages!"

See the post below. Scroll through the gallery to hear a snippet of the song, which pairs dark cello drones with Dutcher's operatic vocals.

The pair collaborate on a track called "Honor Song." A press release describes it as "a Mi'kmaq anthem…that invokes our collective responsibility to care for the planet we share."

Nearly every track on Notes for the Future features a guest. Angélique Kidjo appears on a song called "Blewu."

Dutcher's most recent album is 2018's celebrated Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa.
