Yesterday, JEFF the Brotherhood surprised the music world by announcing that, just a couple of weeks before Wasted on the Dream had been slated to come out on Warner Bros. Records, they had been dropped from the label. With the disc now due to arrive on March 24 through the rock duo's own Infinity Cat Records, they have shared the delicious new cut "Black Cherry Pie."
The original announcement about this album promised a flute solo from Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson. We're guessing that's him playing the fluttering flutes contained within this tune, which also offers lumbering mega-riffs and melodic, pop-friendly vocals. The catchy chorus rhymes the title food with "knife in your eye."
