Following his Oscar-winning turn as Bad Blake in last year's Crazy Heart, actor Jeff Bridges has just got a record deal to record a solo album under his name. This will be the first solo album for Bridges, though he did perform six tracks on the Crazy Heart soundtrack.
As Showbiz 411 reports, Bridges has signed with EMI/Blue Note to record an album of solo material. While he's not recording in character, it most likely will sound an awful lot like the Crazy Heart soundtrack, as Bridges is re-teaming with songwriter Ryan Bingham and production whiz T Bone Burnett.
Since the album isn't a direct link to the Crazy Heart soundtrack, however, we're hoping Bridges might channel the Dude from The Big Lebowski.
