Any Jay Reatard fans following their concert calendar are most likely aware that the Memphis rocker will be making another stop in Toronto this coming Thursday (October 16) for a show at Sneaky Dee's (431 College Street), following last week's low-key, invite-only gig at Wrongbar. However, being the charitable dude that he is, Jay has announced that he will play a make-up show for the one that went horribly wrong back in April.
Prior to his Sneaky Dee's appearance, Jay Reatard will be giving an in-store performance in the basement of Sonic Boom Records (512 Bloor St. West), where previous bands like Fucked Up, the Raveonettes, José González and the Sonic Boom himself have performed in recent time. The half-hour set begins at 7:00 p.m., and it is highly recommended that if you're looking to attend, you get there early.
Jay confirmed the appearance in an interview with Exclaim! last month, describing it as "kind of a make-up date for the people who attended the last show." You can read the transcript on that conversation in full by clicking here.
