Japandroids are calling it a day, but as well as releasing one last album with Fate & Alcohol, they're also celebrating the 15th anniversary of their debut album, 2009's Post-Nothing, with a picture disc reissue.
Limited to 356 hand-numbered copies, it's being pressed in a single edition through Polyvinyl Records, the Vancouver duo's original label.
Even though it's coming out through their old label home rather than their current one (they're signed with Arts & Crafts in Canada and ANTI- in the States), Japandroids are on board with the release. They posted about the release, and even shared a photo of drummer Dave Prowse's dog Apollo with the picture disc.
It's shipping now and is available here for $23 USD.
Japandroids initially thought Post-Nothing would be their only album. They told Exclaim! in 2009, "We kind of decided at the end of 2008 that we would put out this record ourselves and, if nothing really happened, then that was it." They ended up getting signed, the song "Young Hearts Spark Fire" became a blog hit, and they ended up staying together for 15 more years.
