Jermaine Jackson has confirmed that the youngest member of the family, Janet Jackson, is set to join the remaining members of the Jackson 5 on their upcoming world tour in place of Michael Jackson.
"Janet will be joining us. We're all talking about it now. She has never played with us before so that will be very special. She definitely wants to do it," WENN quotes Jermaine as saying of the Jackson 5 tour. "We had a conference call and Janet has agreed to join us on tour."
The shows, which remain unannounced, will be the first the Jackson 5 have played since Michael passed away last June. It's unclear yet whether Janet will actually "replace" (sing/dance his actual parts) Michael in the band, or whether she'll play her own set. Either way, the group are sure to pay much tribute to their deceased brother.
The Jackson brothers are currently appearing in their reality show, The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty.
