Jamie Lidell tries to wrap his head around a lot of things in the new video for "Why_ya_why," off the British electro-soul artist's upcoming self-titled album.
While the Tin Pan Alley brass bumper has him soulfully croaking out questions as to why someone would want to spend their nights alone at home instead of with him, the video has director Lindsey Rome projecting the dude's crooning mug and assorted blippy visuals onto a mannequin head.
You can check out the mélange of TV fuzz, minimalist dubstep-style synth tweaking and more down below.
Jamie Lidell drops February 19 via Warp/Fontana North. Lidell will also be playing tour dates on both sides of the pond between March and April, including Canadian stops in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. You can see the details here.
